​Charlotte O’Brien, Age 9

​On Jan. 7 our warrior Charlotte O’Brien passed away from Neuroblastoma at 9 years old. The Ferluge family met Charlotte at Sloan Kettering and learned quickly the toll it takes on a family as hers traveled from Arizona to New York to receive treatment. The length the O’Brian family went - figuring out flights, housing, and logistics along with how to maintain a home on the other side of the country was eye opening and inspired the creation of the Gracie’s Army Foundation. We will remember her and honor her with the work we do to continue to shine a light on the hardship pediatric cancer causes children and their families. Her journey was long and difficult, but her spirit inspires us to support families as they navigate their unwavering mission to do what is best for their children.
